Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC) envisions a world in which no civilian is killed in conflict. We protect communities caught in armed conflict by implementing locally led, life-saving solutions on the ground, while working with security forces to better protect civilians and global actors to ensure effective policy making. CIVIC amplifies local voices in calling for justice and accountability by connecting them directly to relevant stakeholders in security forces or global halls of power. As a result, communities in over a dozen countries have successfully called for investigations and amends of abuse, increased meaningful inclusion of women in security forces, and implemented an anonymous hotline to report protection threats.
