As long as torture is allowed to exist, human rights are threatened everywhere. The Center for Victims of Torture (CVT) is working toward a world free of torture by healing survivors, leading policy advocacy, and supporting human rights defenders around the world. We work closely with global partners on issues related to detention in Syria and the United States; U.S. police violence and related issues; security/rights work that aims to close Guantánamo prison and secure accountability for the post-9/11 torture program; and promoting the right to rehabilitation for torture survivors.
Join CVT to hear the latest and to stand with survivors, families and communities impacted by torture and atrocities. Together, we can build a future free of torture.
