LOEA brings together multi-media artists, youth, social activists, community groups, incarcerated persons, health practitioners, and art therapists to collaboratively build large-scale art installations that raise awareness about injustices. Our work aims to amplify relatedness, compassion and empowerment.
LOEA’s integrative model is best illustrated by the nationally recognized project, Unbound, which brought together 1500 psychiatric patients, hospital staff, and community volunteers to co-create an 80-foot sculpture inside one of California’s largest psychiatric facilities.
